11:00 - Morning Workshop: "Navigating Your Fire Adaptation Journey: How to combine tools and resources from national partners to support your work"

Participants will learn how fire adaptation programs can be used together to benefit their community’s wildfire risk reduction efforts. This workshop will provide an overview of some of the established national programs designed to assist local communities with wildfire preparedness, including the Ready, Set, Go! (RSG) Program, Firewise USA®, Fire Adapted Communities Learning Network (FAC Net) and will feature stories from practitioners about how they’ve used these programs and resources in their communities.

1:30 - Afternoon Workshop: "Multiplying Wildfire Adaptation Efforts Through Neighborhood Volunteers"

Participants will leave with an understanding of how to build local capacity to strengthen fire adaptation. This workshop will delve into the Fire Adapted Communities Ambassador/Firewise USA® Site leaders program and help communities develop a plan to capitalize on local professional assets that can support neighborhood volunteers. Participants will learn how to assess their “enabling conditions” to learn how a volunteer approach can work to overcome existing hurdles.
