Sierra Club: January Member Meeting

The Sierra Club Tahoe Area Group invites you to join us and Fire Adapted Communities Program Coordinator, Amanda Milici, from the ​​Tahoe Resource Conservation District on January 26, 2022 at 5 pm for our first virtual webinar of the year. You will also hear from the Tahoe Area Group Executive Committee members on other events and important issues we will be working on in 2022.

During the presentation, you’ll hear from Amanda how Lake Tahoe agencies and residents have collaborated to sustainably live with the inevitable presence of fire, and the role that fuel reduction projects and Fire Adapted Communities played during the Caldor Fire. You’ll also learn about the framework of Fire Adapted Communities and how you can get involved in the Tahoe area. Time will be allotted for a Q&A session at the end. Mike Vollmer, the Fire Adapted Communities Program Manager at Tahoe RCD, will also be in attendance for the Q&A portion of the presentation to answer your questions.
