Lake Tahoe Prescribed Burning to Continue This Week
LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev., Dec. 16, 2024 – The Tahoe Fire & Fuels Team (TFFT) fall Prescribed Fire Program continues this week around Lake Tahoe. If conditions improve, Carson City Fire Department, North Lake Tahoe, North Tahoe, and Tahoe Douglas fire protection districts, and the California Tahoe Conservancy will continue burning piles through Friday, Dec. 20, 2024. Smoke will be present. Then, prescribed burning may pause during the holidays and resume in January 2025.
